Diana Varinska officially retired
Fan favourite, Diana Varinska, has hung up her grips.
She’ll be remembered for her 2019 European Games all-around and balance beam bronze medals. Additionally, she was a member of the team that won Ukraine’s first European team title at the 2020 European Championships.
Her teammate Anastasia Bachynska also stopped training.
Ukraine finished 12th in 2022. The future does not look bright for the women’s team.

There are some gymnasts who can do this skill much higher than the rest.
Many keep nose as close to the Beam as possible to increase rotation.
Instead, Lily has more height — therefore more time — and the skill looks far, far more impressive.l

Double Layout combinations
I’m impressed with gymnasts using elements into Double Layout.
But punching out of that difficult landing is — for me — too great a risk of Achilles damage.

Germany celebrates – Kim Bui
Hosted in Munich, team Germany was pleased to come away with a Bronze medal in team.
Of course this was the final competition for legend Kim Bui, age-33.
