QUIZ – Do you know what the Říčná Salto is on Bars?
Hana Říčná … represented Czechoslovakia at the 1988 Summer Olympics, finishing seventh in the team final and 29th in the all-around final. She won two medals at the World Championships, a silver on beam in 1983 and a bronze on the uneven bars in 1985. She also won a silver medal on beam at the 1985 European Championships.
Říčná moved to the United States in 1994 and is the head coach at Rise Gymnastics in Coventry, Rhode Island. Her son, David Jessen, is an elite gymnast who represented the Czech Republic at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
20 years ago Ludivine Furnon won Floor 9.875 at Europeans. Finishing ahead of Produnova, Amânar and reigning world FX champion Andreea Răducan.
Ludi was 19th AA at the 1996 Olympics. And first French female gymnast to win a medal at the World Gymnastics Championships.

Ludi went on to Cirque du Soleil and I personally can’t recall any female acrobat with more impressive physical ability.

Dave is one of the leaders I’ve followed on how to reopen safely.
Dealing with parents is his main challenge right now.
For example, parent viewing. He’s asking parents to watch on their phones using an app called Spot TV. It’s a partner program with their club’s Jackrabbit software.
On spotting, Dave is aware of clubs offering classes with no spotting.
His club is going to require coaches who spot to wear masks when they do. In addition, his staff can wear masks whenever they wish.
Also, parents will fill out an additional release form confirming they allow coaches to spot their child.
