She’s the most decorated Florida Gator gymnast of all time. 🙂

This R-rated low budget film is absolutely not recommended for kids. The majority of adults will find it disappointing, as well.
I did like Katherine Grable as the stunt double. But that’s about it.
The Bronze is a 2015 American sports comedy-drama …
Former gymnastics Bronze Medalist Hope Ann Greggory (Melissa Rauch) has been living off her celebrity status in her hometown of Amherst, Ohio, though she is reduced to going through the mail her mailman father delivers for spending money.
When her former coach Pavleck (Christine Abrahamsen) suddenly commits suicide, a letter arrives addressed to Hope stating that if she can guide Pavleck’s best student, a young gymnastics star named Maggie Townsend (Haley Lu Richardson) to the Olympics in Toronto, she will receive a $500,000 inheritance. …
On … Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a rating of 32%, based on 84 reviews, with an average rating of 4.8/10. The site’s consensus reads, “Enthusiastically unpleasant and mostly unfunny, The Bronze fails to stick the landing – or much else along the way.”
Michigan State University announced Tuesday that it has fired Dr. Larry Nassar after an IndyStar investigation revealed accusations of sexual abuse against the longtime USA Gymnastics team physician. …
Nassar’s former attorney last week denied any wrongdoing by the doctor. His new attorney, Matthew Newburg, declined comment Tuesday. …
Nassar, 53, had been a faculty member at the university’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was also team doctor at four Olympics and had worked with USA Gymnastics from 1986 to 2015. …
I linked to a Facebook version of this the other day. It since gone viral.

Gymnast Anna Burns @AnnaBurnsy is the editor.
Gym Blog Central interviewed Anna:
GBC: How long does it take you to make a video?
AB: Depending on the video it can take anything from 3 hours to a total of maybe 8 or 9 hours of work, but I split it up over multiple days. I really just work on them when I’m in the mood, and fall into a zone where I am completely focused on it. I don’t usually spend more than 2 hours at a time, so if it’s a detailed video like Unbroken, it will usually take about 1-2 weeks. …
AB: My video “Elite Gymnastics- Why do we fall?” is the most watched on my YouTube with around 600K views! That one is very similar to Unbroken, both of which I made because I heard the audio tracks and was immediately inspired by them. …
Great news for Montreal and Canada. Félicitations, Claude.
Claude Pelletier is a former Olympic coach for the Canadian women’s artistic gymnastics team, a retired firefighter, an Ironman athlete and the new head coach and owner of the West Island Montreal Gymnastics Club — aka WIMGYM.
Pelletier began his double duty as head coach and owner of WIMGYM on Sept. 1.
… I was coach at Club Gymnix in Montreal for 13 years and have coached female athletes who have competed at the Worlds, the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics. I understand the needs of the athletes at every level. It’s an exciting time for me to take on this position. In October 2017, Montreal hosts the World Gymnastic Championships …
Q: What plans do you have for WIMGYM?
A: I was first offered the job of head coach, but I wasn’t interested, because that position offers no stability. A change in coaching staff can happen at any time. I wanted to be able to stay put and do what I love without worrying about what was coming next, which is why I became the owner. My firefighter’s pension took a hit with me taking early retirement, but this was a golden opportunity — you only have one life.
