All legends in the sport.

Of course, someone is voting for the nominees each year. It’s impossible to be completely objective.

There is always criticism. BUT International Gymnastics magazine is a private company that can choose whomever they wish.

Congratulations to the honourees.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of Beth Tweddle. Loved her Gymnastics and her relaxed, positive attitude.

In honor of the NFL Draft, we put together a mock draft if the National Gymnastics League (NGL) existed πŸ‘€All for fun and based on Paris Olympic qualifying!Who thinks we need an NGL!? Should we do one for the men next? πŸ€”

history of Women’s NCAA Gymnastics

Nobody was a more important builder of the super successful College program than former Utah Coach Greg Marsden.

The inaugural Women’s College Gymnastics Championships were organized by the Division for Girls’ and Women’s Sports (DGWS) in 1969. The NCAA didn't sponsor WAG Champs until 1982. Over the years, there have been significant format changes.

By this criteria, Uchimura is only #4.

That’s like ranking Michael Jordan #4 in Basketball. I’d have both higher on my totally subjective rankings. πŸ˜€

Obituary – Coach Ed Vincent

Read and comment here.

A service will be held for Coach Ed Vincent on Friday April 25, in Calgary, Alberta.

He inspired me and everyone else at Altadore Gym Club over 50 years with the club. 2024 Olympic Floor champion Kyle Shewfelt is just one of those athletes inspired by Ed’s enthusiasm for the sport.

The annual Altadore Invitational competition is named for Ed Vincent in his memory.
