Kakeru Tanigawa, Wataru Tanigawa and Kazuma Kaya have been named as Japan’s Universiade team.

Insiders have long considered Marios Georgiou one of the cleanest gymnasts in the world.

Marios Georgiou became the first ever European AA medalist from Cyprus making the history for his country and himself. He had to overcome many challenges on his way to this medal including bullying due to his ethnicity (he is half-Filipino) his mother leaving him a few years ago and his father passing away.  …

Temple 3rd 2019 USAG Collegiate Nationals

Congratulation to Temple for the BIG jump this season. They went from 4 competitors at Nationals last season to 9 this year.

2. University of Washington
3. Temple

Though now a non-scholarship school, they are looking for new recruits.

remembering Shelby Hilton

“This is a very sad time for everyone involved with our program and our deepest sympathies are with Shelby’s family and friends,” said UK gymnastics coach Tim Garrison.

“Shelby had to give up many things during her fight with cancer, but more important is what she kept.  She kept her courage, her smile, and her determination to live her life.

“She was one of the happiest and most persistent young women I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I am so proud of what she was able to accomplish and more impressed with the way she went about it. She was a joy to be around and all those that knew her are better for it.” …

Cheer Dads surprise daughters with their own routine

A group of 18 dads from Edmonton, with kids in Perfect Storm Athletics, surprised their daughters with a viral cheerleading routine of their own last week.

The fathers called themselves “the weathermen” and had three secretive practices with trainers from Perfect Storm Athletics to learn the routine.

They performed the three-minute routine in front of their kids on April 14 at a showcase in Calgary called 4Cast that featured all of the Perfect Storm clubs in Alberta. …
