Twice Olympic Trampoline champion, one of the greatest ever.

Now age-34.

Skyriders was my second home.

Dave was my coach for 22 years and he constantly expanded what I believed to be possible, letting internal motivation lead.

I got to train with @karen_cockburn_ my role model and mentor who became my training partner and friend. 

@jasonburnett_ always cheered me on and challenged me to be better. I had many incredible teammates over the years.

Miracle on Beam ~ Japan 2022

In the last quadrennial, I’d say the biggest shocker was Taiwan qualifying a full team to the Tokyo Olympics in Men’s Gymnastics.

In Liverpool, without question the biggest surprise was a team from Japan of relative unknowns.

In the qualifications, Japan had the highest team Beam score: 3rd (Shoko Miyata), 5th (Hazuki Watanabe), and 7th (Ayaka Sakaguchi).

And they didn’t compete the reigning World Champion on Beam, Urara Ashikawa.

In the team final, heading to the final apparatus, it looked like Japan would finish 3rd — automatic qualification to Paris.

The wheels finally fell off on Bars. Canada took the bronze team medal. Winning it on Beam.

Canada’s first team medal at Worlds was the 2nd biggest surprise in Liverpool.

USOPTC MAG Resident Program dissolved

It was launched January 1990.

Current Head Coach Syque Caesar was informed Nov. 14th that his program was being discontinued. As was his job.

MAG Camps are still scheduled in Colorado Springs. The next on Dec 17-21, 2022.

Many of the guys from USOPTC and Syque himself are moving to EVO Gymnastics in Sarasota, Florida. A new privately funded training centre offering U.S. MAG senior team members salaries, with performance-based bonuses.

USOPTC lasted 32 years. How long will EVO continue?

HOPEFULLY, this will be a change for the better for U.S. National Team members.
