American institutions of higher learning are all deciding on when and how to reopen. Some may not be open in September.

Greg Marsden linked to a letter from the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition (ICAC) opposing a request by the Group of Five Commissioners to allow conferences and schools to cut the number of sports sponsored to be considered for Division I status.

interview with Denver’s Maddie Karr

You’ll be even more impressed by Denver superstar Maddie Karr, from Minnesota, after listening to this podcast.

After minor knee surgery in the Fall, Maddie was doing her best Gymnastics ever just as her Senior year was cut short by COVID-19. She competed in the all-around every meet during her College career.

She was ranked No. 4 in the nation in the all-around for 2020 and was ranked in the top 20 on all four events – including in the top five on both vault and bars.

Maddie was named Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the second time she won the title.

Maddie is still in school next season. She has season tickets.
