Thank-you Sarah.

It would be terrific if more gymnasts decide to make this choice in competition.

Some of the German team will be wearing them throughout Euros.

gymnasts on debilitating periods

Aly Raisman wrote about it.

Coach Veronique Sprenger has spent a lot of time in Africa. You might recall her study of acrobats in Kenya.

In a new post she talks about the challenges faced by girls and women in Ethiopia.

In the year that I have lived in Addis Ababa, I have never seen a tampon in a store.

I have talked to many women and most of them have told me that they always and only use pads and that they are scared of using internal products. That is okay, they do not have to use internal products if they don’t want to. But they should be well-informed about them and they should be available.

College Gym News Awards

Keeping track of all the NCAA awards is confusing for fans.

Yet you should check out a new and different list from the folks at College Gym News.

One example – Coaching Staff of the Year:

Winner: California. Other Nominees: Iowa, Arizona State

2009 – Kas entry double front

Geoffrey Taucer was the internet name of an American gymnast.

He competed at the Sand Dollar / Whitlow Invitational Invite. The first person I’ve seen compete this vault. Though the landing was very under-rotated … he did get credit for the vault from the judges. That means his feet hit first.

Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube.

UPDATE: Geoffrey Taucer’s real name is Jeremy Waters. You can call it the “Waters”, not the Taucer.

Video and LIVE scoring was terrible. I’ve personally never had any good experiences with the SmartScoring company.

European Gymnastics did apologize. Let’s see if it’s possible to fix it in time for day 2.

The Tokyo qualification is official, however, according to UEG.

Angelina was tops in the AA. But she did compete in 2019.
