Paul RUGGERI – Bars

Paul’s in Calgary for the International Friendly. A finalist tonight.

But I wish he’d head across the Gym to the WAG Level 10 Bars Final, as well. He’d be competitive. 🙂

University of Calgary International Cup RESULTS

The annual international “friendly” in Canada was better than ever this year. Canada’s top guys vs very strong teams from China and USA in a 6-5-4 format.

The top 2 international stars for Canada were out of the team. Scott Morgan competed only Rings, protecting a “lower body” injury. Kevin Lytwin (knee ligament injury) did LIVE colour commentary.

When Team USA had ZERO falls starting on Pommels, I got the feeling they’d win this event. They did.

Kristof Willerton – triple layout 1/1 twist

Click PLAY or watch it on YouTube.

UEG: There’s been videos of you performing a triple layout going viral on the internet. How long have you been working on that skill? Do you plan to compete it in Valladolid?

Willerton: It is a skill we had played with for a while, until seriously considering it for competition. I have worked with different variations of the skill too, and have now trained them intensely for 2 years now, before waiting for the perfect time to compete them. This was going to be at the most recent world championships, but a tactical error changed it last minute, so there is a possibility it may be debuted at this Europeans if not more likely later in the year.
