2025–2028 Olympic Solidarity $650 million

I’ve volunteered many times to lead Olympic Solidarity coaching courses. Those are the BEST, in my opinion, offered through the International Gymnastics Federation.

And education courses are only one of many Solidarity initiatives .

NCAA Conference Championships highlights

The rest of the world is mostly baffled why seeming random teams are competing in “Conferences” — and why anyone cares, aside from bragging rights.

2025 competitions were excellent, however.

Here are a few highlights:

Meet of the Week ➙ ACC ChampionshipStanford upsets Cal

Gymnast of the Week ➙ Haleigh Bryant, LSU

Hidden Gem of the Week ➙ Utah State is back!

Also, there were many perfect 10s. And some of those were actually perfect. Under the weird NCAA judging. 😀

BAD judging Nebraska v Michigan !

Kensley on the Neutral Deductions podcast, details the absurdly bad judging errors made at the Nebraska vs Michigan competition last weekend.

In one case, a Floor routine was awarded 0.9 too high on the D score.

I was a FIG judge for decades — and can’t imagine how ANY judge could be that far off on Floor.

Kenseley feels Michigan probably would have won the competition, anyway, with competent judging.

Obituary – Coach Ed Vincent

Read and comment here.

A service will be held for Coach Ed Vincent on Friday April 25, in Calgary, Alberta.

He inspired me and everyone else at Altadore Gym Club over 50 years with the club. 2024 Olympic Floor champion Kyle Shewfelt is just one of those athletes inspired by Ed’s enthusiasm for the sport.

The annual Altadore Invitational competition is named for Ed Vincent in his memory.
