Everyone agrees that what’s happened in the past few Codes is dangerous and stupid. FIG provides every incentive for men to chuck the hardest stunts they might possible land — and somehow land on their feet.
Also, the landing mats are insufficient for this level of skill. We need something much more like the FIG Doublemini landing mats.
YES a few of the most talented can land consistently and relatively safely, but not many.

Note that many of these excellent landings include absorbing impact forces with the trunk and hips. Chest is sometimes horizontal. Good technique that should not be deducted.
Security Concepts Group was terminated less than four months after its CEO reported potential misconduct at a USA Gymnastics event to the U.S. Center for SafeSport
Security Concepts Group was hired by USAG to provide security at major events such as the Olympic Trials and U.S. Championships as well as national team training camps.
But when the CEO reported to SafeSport incidents he saw where Rhythmic coaches were slapping or patting underage female gymnasts on the buttocks, the company eventually lost the contract.
Perhaps losing the job was unrelated to his SafeSport report. But it certainly looks bad for USAG. It should be investigated.
Jossimar Calvo finished 20th, qualifying for the all-around final. But is now in quarantine after testing positive.
How did he get the virus with so many safety protocols in place?
I certainly hope it wasn’t a false positive.
The competition was delayed over an hour while being disinfected. That included taking all chalk off the H Bar.
One Austrian news story said there were two positive tests.
