Oklahoma ALL 10.0 start Vaults

It happened. Oklahoma is the first team to compete 6 gymnasts with 10.0 start values.

And they hit for a 49.5 total.

related – Maggie Nichols and Sam Peszek both feel the NCAA should increase Beam requirements next. The current rules are too easy, they feel.

Rhonda Faehn consulting Michigan

Faehn joined the team for its trip to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, after finalizing her agreement on Thursday (Jan. 10). She will work with the team through the 2019 season in a consulting capacity. …

“After our exhaustive due diligence, we felt comfortable that coach Faehn reported all information available to her regarding Larry Nassar and that she cooperated fully, including voluntarily participating in all investigations and offering testimony before Congress. Neither an internal investigation by USA Gymnastics or a criminal investigation by the FBI have assigned culpability or resulted in any charges against her.” …

Denver defeats Alabama & Michigan

Congratulations on the upset.

Michigan’s new superstar Natalie Wojcik won VT, BB & the AA (39.45).

Bigger news on the night was the appearance of former Florida Head Coach Rhonda Faehn assisting Michigan. Sounds like she will be joining the coaching staff though the Michigan website hasn’t been updated yet as I post.
