As many predicted, Brazil’s top team finished ahead of a very good Russian team.

Right now you have to add Brazil to the list of Olympic team medal contenders.

Though there was no AA competition, Rebeca went 56.932 today.

Artur Dalaloyan wins Stuttgart World Cup

Despite 2 falls on H Bar on the last apparatus, Dalaloyan still took gold.

This should put behind his problems from Russian Championships where he withdrew.

Artur also competed double front pike P Bars, a new dismount.

Due to problems with the originally planned venue, the meet was moved to Winsport – International Arena at Canada Olympic Park. I talked to many gymnasts, coaches and parents. ALL liked the venue.

Apparatus finals go Saturday. The guys from the UCIC will be competing against qualifiers from the concurrent Senior division, some of whom had higher individual scores than did the UCIC competitors.

I thought the judging was quite good. FIG scores are generally lower than in the NCAA, however, so I wouldn’t compare against their College scores.
