Julia Soares BRA FX: Arabian double front is GORGEOUS in the air, and excellent on the landing. Almost sticks the full-in as well. Stunning. Memmel turn goes well. Switch ring to tour jeté half. Triple wolf turn. Clean double tuck, small bounce. Split jump full into the corner before her last pass, a double pike, small hop. Absolutely fantastic routine. 13.700 (5.5, 8.200)!!!!!!!! WOW, so deserved.

The top 36 Federations, based on the All-Around ranking results of the Qualifications from the 1st FIG ART JWCH in Györ (HUN) are permitted to send a full team of two (2) to three (3) gymnasts and one (1) reserve gymnast.

USA 2022 Coaches of the Year

Syque Caesar on Worlds trials

Syque is the new USOPTC Men’s Head Coach.

In this long Twitter thread, he lays out his impressions and recommendations for future Worlds trials.

  • Shane Wiskus was great. Trending upwards. It’s a shame he’s not at least the travelling alternate for Liverpool. But the numbers were correct.
  • Syque suggests 40% USAs, 60% trials in future. This year it was 50/50.
  • USA should go back to requiring the top 2 AA at USAs also finish top 3 on at least 3 apparatus for automatic selection
  • He was part of the group putting together the new bonus system. It worked. But needs to be tweaked.
