One of the BIG stories of the meet was the return of Max Whitlock, the greatest British gymnast of all time. With nothing more to prove, now age-33, Max qualified for both the Pommel and P Bar Finals, but didn’t medal. This time.

zhoxxyy has a detailed post on how the World Cup series worked in 2026, despite the cancellation of Doha, Qatar due to Trump’s idiotic war.
It confusing.
It’s unfair in that all the competitions are close to Europe, making it very expensive for those from far away. On the other hand, Jesse Moore from Australia is 2nd on P Bars. Karl Eldrew Yulo 2nd on Floor. And we have winners from Colombia and Taipei. It’s possible if you can afford to travel to the meets.

From these lists some athletes will qualify to World Championships in October 2026. It will be some time before we know which, however.
FX- Cooper Kim (Stanford)
PH- Brandon Dang (Illinois)
SR- Asher Cohen (Nebraska)
VT (tie)- Jun Iwai (Stanford), Tyler Flores (OU)
PB- Nathan Roman (OU)
HB- Kelton Christiansen (OU)
AA- Fred Richard (Michigan) by a country mile

Barajas has the top P Bar score in 2026, so far.
Super fantastic Final this year.
One of the rare MAG Floor routines you can actually enjoy watching in 2026.
