If you use Tumblr you know management has been crappy for many years.

Yahoo bought Tumblr for over $1 billion in 2013. They promised not to screw it up. Then did screw it up. It was sold to Oath and Verizon.

This week Tumblr was sold for less than $3 million.

The GOOD NEWS is that a small company called Automattic bought Tumblr. They run WordPress, the platform that runs at least a quarter of the sites on the web including this one.

Automattic actually knows what to do with microblogging.
