I dropped in for the first day of the Men’s camp in Vancouver. Guest clinician this year is Nick Blanton who runs the National Age Group camps for Gymnastics Canada.
Nick led a one hour coach education workshop which included his thoughts on a very neglected aspect of coaching — head position.
Mike Hood is hosting the event at Phoenix Gymnastics Club.

Can Turkey qualify a Men’s team to Tokyo?
There are a LOT of men’s teams in the running for the 12 available Olympic team spots.
“We see we have the chance to go to the Olympics with a team,” said Onder, who helped Turkey finish 15th at the 2018 World Championships. …
“We are totally concentrated on Stuttgart,” Onder admitted.
“The team is the most important thing, we are very close. We have been training together in camp in Mersin and we are expecting some great results in the competition. …

1st FIG Parkour Worlds in Japan
Hiroshima, Japan, 3-5 April 2020
“It’s a great honour for us to be able to welcome the first Parkour World Championships to Hiroshima,” said Norifumi Yamamoto, general secretary of the Japan Gymnastics Association.
