Janja Garnbret became the first ever female Olympic gold medalist in sport climbing, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest competitive climbers of all time. She is also the world’s first-ever female climber to onsight an 8c (5.14b) graded sport climbing route.

The Olympic title was decided on combined results of 3 quite different disciplines.

Paris 2024 qualification system

Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics.

A total of 318 athletes – 192 in Artistic, 94 in Rhythmic and 32 in Trampoline …

As the host nation, France is allocated a number of guaranteed places, which will be awarded to other countries if French athletes fill this quota through the qualifying process. There are also a few universality places reserved for gymnasts from under-represented countries, which will be selected by a tripartite commission for the Olympic movement a few months before the start of the Games.

NOTE – These new Technical Regulations eliminate about 100 individual participants for 2022 and 2023 compared with last cycle.
