Trampoline coach Dave Ross

With Rosie‘s repeat Olympic Gold medal in Rio, Dave Ross has now coached athletes who have won a total of 7 Olympic medals.

His club is Skyriders, Toronto. He’s the owner of Rebound Products.

Rosie MacLennan repeats as Olympic Champion

Wow. I’m so thrilled for Rosie. 🙂

In the notoriously unpredictable sport of trampoline–just one bad bounce can send a world-class athlete into last place–it’s much easier to fly into the top ranks of the sport than to stay there. Rosannagh, or Rosie, MacLennan of Canada proved it wasn’t impossible, however, when she became the first trampoline athlete to win two golds at an Olympics. …

Finishing third was Li Dan of China, the 2015 world champion. In fourth place was He, the gold medalist in Beijing and bronze medalist in London.

Chinese athletes have a streak of winning medals in women’s gymnastics going back to 2004.

Artistic gymnasts Ana Sofía Gómez (Guatemala), Catalina Ponor (Romania), and Giulia Steingruber (Switzerland), rhythmic gymnast Neta Rivkin (Israel) and trampolinist Rosie MacLennan (Canada) were selected as standard bearers as the 2016 Olympic Games kick off in Rio.

It is a record number for gymnastics to have five flag bearers at the Olympic Parade of Nations. Gymnasts often skip the Opening Ceremonies as qualification begins on the first day, and hours of queuing and marching in the summer heat is not ideal right before competition. However, the weather in Rio de Janeiro, where it is winter, has been mild. …

Charlotte Drury spent nearly seven years preparing for the Rio Olympics, and now she’s not sure if she’ll even watch them. …

The broken bone in her right ankle and the black boot covering it are a constant reminder of how close she came to representing the United States as its top trampoline gymnast.
