JO Improvement Proposal

Coach BRETT WARGO has some good ideas here. He want to encourage more gymnasts to stay longer in the sport as specialists, for example. As they do in NCAA.

His proposals should reduce the number of injuries, too.

JO National Proposal

College Basketball superstar Sabrina Ionescu

Kobe’s been seriously assessing her game. She’s one of the greatest all time.

Click PLAY or watch Sabrina on YouTube.

Though Sabrina’s got one more year at Oregon, if she DID decide to go Pro early she’d likely be the #1 WNBA draft pick.

Qualifying for the Final 4 for the first time ever, the Ducks lost to Baylor and did not make the final.

After the loss, Sabrina wrote her fans a letter. She’s a class act.

Sam Cerio medical update

If you see video of Sam’s injury online, don’t share it.

The Auburn gymnast was badly injured landing a double front on Floor at Regionals hosted by LSU.

Sam was visited in hospital by the LSU Team Doctor, the LSU Orthopedist, the President of LSU and D-D.

NCAA Championship Fort Worth, TX Apr 19-20

Tickets.

Men’s Championships are held the same weekend in Champaign, Illinois.

WAG Nationals will be held in Fort Worth for the next 4 years. Personally I’d rather they rotate around the nation.

Semifinal #1 – UCLA, LSU, Utah, Michigan

Semifinal #2 – Oklahoma, Denver, Georgia, Oregon State

Denver, OSU to Nationals

Denver 197.375
OSU 196.900
Florida 196.700
Boise State 176.075

Judging wasn’t crazy high, merely ‘boxed‘.

At the start of the meet I had a feeling Denver was going to qualify.

The vibe is team on the rise.

They believe.

Florida opened the door counting a fall on Beam first rotation.

In the past when Florida has had a counting Beam fall they’ve found a way to make up the 0.5.

But it didn’t happen today.

Denver is planning for the top 4 at Nationals. No question.

Having followed OSU closely since Stephanie McGregor from my home Gym first got recruited, I’m proud and happy for this excellent program.

Ladies. Good luck at Nationals. You’ve made your fans happy.

LSU, Utah to Nationals

LSU 197.500
Utah 197.250
Minnesota 196.900
Auburn 195.725

Congratulations to D-D and the incredible program in Baton Rouge.

The Utes are off the to big dance too. For the 44th time in a row. They’ve had a great season, so far.

Oklahoma, Georgia to Nationals

OKLAHOMA 198.475
GEORGIA 198.050

CAL 197.675
KENTUCKY 197.600

It took 198+ to get through — #ScoreInflation — but what a competition. Spencer called the judging “unprofessional and atrocious“.

UCLA, Michigan to Nationals

UCLA 198.075
MICHIGAN 197.275
ALABAMA 197.225
NEBRASKA 196.650
