Mattie Larson interview

Mattie is out in the real world, an emergency dental assistant right now during COVID-19.

From L.A., coached by Galina Marinova, they did a lot of ballet in club. Galina was strict about form and line.

Mattie competed for UCLA 2012 and 2013.

Kyle Shewfelt book delayed until 2021

The 2004 Olympic Floor Champion is a fan favourite. And a very popular public speaker.

MAKE IT HAPPEN: My Story of Gymnastics, the Olympics, and the Positive Power of Sport.

Kyle worked with Blythe Lawrence on the new book but,  with everything that’s happening now, decided to delay publication until Spring 2021.

If you just can’t wait, Kyle will be reading a chapter a day on his Instagram Live during the month of May.

Ellie Black – new interview

Ellie wants to get back in the Gym.
Her ankle is recovered. A year’s Olympic day delay neither a plus nor a negative for her personally. Another bump in the road.

Hannah Hartung interview

The daughter of Olympic great Jim Hartung just finished her first year at Eastern Michigan University Gymnastics.

Dad was all-around NCAA champion in 1980 and 1981 for Nebraska, leading those teams to four straight national championship teams: 1979–1982.  Jim is still at Nebraska as an assistant coach.

Jamie Dantzscher interview

One of GymCastic’s best yet.

Jamie Dantzscher was a 2000 Olympic medalist, at the end of the darkest era of USA Gymnastics in my opinion.

She went on to a fantastic career at UCLA. One of the greats of all time. She led UCLA to 3 NCAA Championships in four years.

But we know Jamie best as one of the most vocal critics of the Karoli years. And her February 2017 60 Minutes interview alongside  Jeanette Antolin and Jessica Howard accusing the USAG criminal doctor.

What makes this interview so winning is Jamie’s blunt honesty. Down to earth. Saying what she thinks.

I was totally won over. Let’s all wish Jamie Dantzscher well.
