Andrade and Maroney

We have to start ranking Rebeca’s Cheng from PanAm Vault Final 2023 with the BEST Vault of all time. #respect

Luisa Blanco to Paris for Colombia

With the top AA score for any gymnast not yet qualified for the Olympics, Luisa punched her ticket at PanAms.

PanAm Champion Kayla Dicello

A strong competition in the AA.

Happiest on the list might be Louisa Blanco who will qualify for the Paris Olympics.

Jordan competes for UCLA. Kayla for Florida, though she’s taking a year off to train towards trying to qualify for Paris.

Audrys Nin Reyes to Paris

Unofficial, as I post, but for real …

PanAm Champion Félix Dolci

Félicitations

🥇 Félix Dolci, Canada, 82.531 🇨🇦
🥈 Diogo Soares, Brazil, 81.865
🥉 Donnell Whittenburg, United States, 81.764

Félix had a great meet until the final apparatus — H Bar. Where he fell on Tkachev.

But it was enough.

Canada’s first AA win since Willy Weiler 1963.

Trivia – Willy’s brother was my first club coach.

Rebeca’s Cheng at PanAms

Her best ever?

The best ever from any gymnast?

Simone is amazing. But takes this Vault long. I like the Rebeca’s HEIGHT.

Every coach should emulate her block.

NEW H Bar dismount – Hayden 1/1

At PanAms, Costa Rican gymnast, Andrés Valverde, used what you might call Double Layout over the bar with double twist.

A single twist is named for Dan Hayden.

The Valverde is a dismount I’ve never seen before. Should be a new element in the Code of Points.

Note – Andrés competed in Santiago only 7 months after Achilles surgery.
