Actually, I don’t like these contests. They encourage bad technique in handstand. I don’t want my kids walking in handstand. Ever.

Walking backwards and sidewards are somewhat not-as-bad.

My hair stayed in the best this competition than it ever has before ? I wet the top and underneath my hair and spray lots of hair spray before putting in up. I use lots of bobi pins after putting two hair elastics in a pony and twisting my hair into a bun. Then after adding bobi pins around my bun (careful not to put them in too tight, you'll get a hair headache, especially after having it up for so many hours during a competition). Then add more hair elastics around the bun to make sure that your hair stays in…. I always keep extra hair elastics in my bag to add in if needed. Then when I take my hair out it's so knotted because I have so much hair so I do a conditioning treatment to keep my hair healthy. I have it up in a tight bun majority of the time. When I'm not at the gym it's usually always down to relax my hair and head. ??

All regionals will be conducted Saturday, April 2, with start times of either 4 or 6 p.m. local time.

If you are close to one of these sites you really should make the trip. 🙂 Utah, Georgia and Alabama will be crazy loud.

The top two teams at each Regional are seeded highest. Expected to get through. But there are a number of potential upsets ** looming. Stanford, for example, tends to peak for the “playoffs“.
