The new book also tells the story of her childhood and gymnastics career and will partially overlap with the new memoir, however, it adds new material on Khorkina’s life in the last 10 years and her current views on the sport. …

There is no information on whether the publisher plans to translate the book to English. …

Smyth led the Cardinal to unprecedented success in the gym during her tenure, including seven NCAA Super Six appearances and four top-four finishes. Of Stanford’s 115 All-America honors, 95 have come under Smyth’s leadership. …

Stanford will immediately launch a search for Smyth’s replacement.
