Jordan Chiles’ DWTS Finale Freestyle feat. Normani

Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa finished 3rd with MANY terrific performances to treasure.

Featuring a mash-up of Beyoncé’s “Bow Down” and Normani’s “Motivation,” the dance was empowering, fierce, and 1000% unforgettable. (Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called it the best freestyle in the history of the show …

Jr. Gymnastics Worlds Apparatus Finals day 2

Read the FIG summing-up:

Two victories for Vera in ‘veni vidi vici’ performance at Junior Worlds

The last day at Jr Worlds 2025 in Manila, Philippines was exciting.

Now that the meet has ended, I find Wikipedia the best place to check RESULTS.

  • Camilo Vera (Colombia) was the biggest highlight of the day ➙ tying for GOLD on P Bars and then electrifying the audience on H Bar by increasing difficulty connecting Cassina to Kolman. Then sticking dismount. A deserving World Champion. In fact, the H Bar final was super strong.
  • Karl Eldrew Yulo will be another of the world’s best gymnasts for Philippines for many years to come.
  • All-Around champion Arsenii Dukhno (AIN) gold on Men’s Vault with an easy Yurchenko triple twist and Kasamatsu + double twist. Certain to be on future AIN senior teams, though his Ring strength is lacking.
  • Nishiyama Misa (JPN) gold on Floor
  • Xiang Yina (CHN) amazing execution and difficulty on Beam to win China’s only title of the day
  • Still, Japan is the team to watch closest on Beam for the rest of the world
  • Caroline Moreau (USA) must be very happy with her performance and medals. Bronze medals on bars, beam, and in the team final. The NCAA team that gets Caroline is going to have a great competitor under pressure.
  • Elena Colas was by far the best Jr. AA gymnast at Worlds. I suspect she’ll be hungry to join the very top group of Seniors in competition for the rest of this cycle.
  • Danila Leykin (USA) looks to have potential to fit into future U.S. senior teams. Counting score, possibly, on P Bars and H Bar. Good Pommels.
  • Between 1/3 and 1/2 of these competitors will eventually qualify for a senior Worlds. We’ve enjoyed a preview of those future stars.
  • Many juniors are training for Summer Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 in Senegal — which has different age requirements than FIG. Each nation will have to decide whether or not to send athletes. Maximum 2 / nation for WAG and MAG.

Read the International Gymnast magazine summing up of the last day:

Colombia’s Camilo Vera doubly golden on last day of apparatus finals at Junior World Championships

I’ll apply for a media credential for Dakar, having led Gymnastics courses there in the past, but it’s far from certain that I’ll get one.

Men’s & Women’s All-Around Final at Jr Worlds – day 2

Beam

Enjoyable Beam Final, for a change. Only 2 falls. All finalists showed some excellent Gymnastics.

🥇 Xiang Yina 🇨🇳 14.133
🥈 Minamino Yume 🇯🇵 13.800
🥉 Caroline Moreau 🇺🇸 13.600

Floor

Elena had a 0.3 deduction for out of bounds.

🥇🇯🇵 NISHIYAMA Misa 5.3/8.233 – 13.533
🥈🇫🇷 COLAS Elena 5.6/7.900 -0.3 – 13.200
🥉🇫🇷 PRAT Maiana 5.3/7.866 – 13.166

Vault

A good final. The medalists would be very competitive in any Sr. competition.

Dukhno STUCK Yurchenko 3/1 twist. A Vault motor genius.

🥇 Arsenii Dukhno ◻️ 14.333
🥈 Sol Scott 🇬🇧 14.066
🥉 Evan McPhillips 🇬🇧 13.950

P Bars

Fun Final with some great Gymnastics. Some unique skills.

Seems there is no tie-break.

🥇 Camilo Vera 🇨🇴 13.866
🥇 Ojima Nao 🇯🇵 13.866
🥉 Yang Lanbin 🇨🇳 13.600
🥉 Leykin Danila USA 13.600

H Bar

Last routine at an excellent Jr World Championships was Camilo VERA from Colombia. He shocked the very savvy audience connecting Cassina to Kolman. Then sticking dismount. A deserving World Champion.

🥇 Camilo Vera 🇨🇴 14.533
🥈 Danila Leykin 🇺🇸 14.233
🥉 Karl Eldrew Yulo 🇵🇭 14.000

Home fans even happier with Yulo the 2nd collecting his 2nd individual apparatus medal.

Top 3 all stuck dismount collecting 0.1 bonus.

Camilo VERA won P Bars and H Bar. I’m still thinking about putting down a wager on Columbia qualifying a full team to the L.A. Olympics. 😀

Gia Giudice & Shawn Johnson win SPECIAL FORCES

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is an American reality quasi-military training television series …

… pits contestants, dubbed “recruits”, against harsh environments all around the world in a shortened training course that is designed to replicate a number of elements of the actual United States Special Forces selection course …

… hostile and unforgiving warfare environments, while testing their mental and physical ability …

Shawn Johnson East was one of two ‘winners‘ who passed all those tests. Her husband, Andrew East, made it to the top 5.

Congratulations.
