Sylvie Seilnacht won Vault. We can argue whether or not this should be a 10.0 start. Personally I’m happy to see anything different than Y 1/1.

A great read.
I never went to prom, I never went on spring break, I never went to Friday night football games, and I never had the summer off for family vacations. Gymnastics is a year-round sport, and the offseason was exponentially worse than season. But man did I love it. …
Why in the world did we do it?
Insanity? Love? The things we do for the ones we love, that’s what gymnasts do for the sport. It gave me some of the best moments of my life. I traveled to really cool places, I met my best friends, I learned what love is, I learned how to persevere through unbearable adversity and when people thought I would quit, I kept going. My coaches throughout the years became my gym parents, and were there every step of the way. I made it through to the very end. …
I still give back.
I coached for years, and now I find myself donating money to EMU Gymnastics. …
Thanks Hal.

Lee is the only Utah gymnast competing in the all-around this year and was expected to be one of the team leaders after her breakout freshman season. …
Lee suffered the injury on the floor as she pushed off to start a tumbling pass. The Utes had no warning that the Achilles’ tendon might be ready to tear, Marsden said.
The Utes have had a rash of the injuries, with Corrie Lothrop tearing her Achilles in 2013, Kassandra Lopez tearing her’s in 2014 and Tory Wilson tearing her’s in 2015. Each one was similar to Lee’s with the gymnasts going from healthy one second to being done for the season the next. …
