Nadia and Kyle Shewfelt, FIG Ambassadors, unveiled the Worlds medals.
Gymnastics Canada Chair Richard Crepin gave an inspiring speech promising a Worlds we will never forget. He called on Kyle to come out of retirement. Declined, sadly.
FIG President Watanabe speaks English quite well. He asked that the media promote Gymnastics wanting children the world over to have a chance to participate.
Factoids:
Artistic Gymnastics Worlds is one of the top 3 most popular Olympic sports.
At least 50,000 tickets sold to fans from at least 42 nations. 660+ estimated million viewers worldwide on TV and online.
Press conference hosted atop the Olympic tower.
If organizers were trying to win over the media with free wine and hors d’oeuvres … it worked. 🙂

Brooklyn Moors – Floor
Spencer of the Balance Beam Situation is at #MTL2017GYM.
He and I both initially felt Brittany Rogers would be named to the Canadian team. Brit would have a chance to qualify to either the Vault or Bars final.
But Brooklyn Moors was named and we both have to admit she is getting the job done. Her double front half is one of the highlight skills of the entire competition.
