MOST talked about routine in Glasgow – Celine!

We’ll be discussing the CAT WOMAN routine for many years to come!


Celine VAN GERNER (NED) first teased on social media.

 

She then astonished the audience during the Floor final march-in.

Celine finished 4th 4.600 + 8.700 = 13.300. Only two tumbling lines. The medalists had D-scores of 5.5, 5.5 and 5.3.

Has anyone else had an 8.700 E-score on Floor this quad? Judges loved it!

I loved it too. It worked for this meet. … But FIG WTC should define clearly just how much theatrics is allowed / encouraged.

E-scores seemed high to me on Floor. Aside from 8.700 for Celine VAN GERNER. That was well deserved. A historic, perhaps groundbreaking routine.

You have to be happy for Angelina. She endured much. Carried the Russian team. And is finally getting recognized for consistency.

Jr European Apparatus Finals

It was an excellent final with only 2 falls (Bars) over 24 routines and 16 vaults. This bodes well for the inaugural World Junior Championships 2019. These young athletes handled the biggest, noisiest stage.

Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos – Bars

One of the very best gymnasts in the world.

5th at Worlds 2017, her AA during team finals would have been 56.266. Seems to me Mélanie is getting stronger and more consistent.
