Maggie Nichols 10s on all 4 apparatus

The major accomplishment of week 9 was Maggie Nichols completing the career gym slam with a 10 on bars, giving her at least one on every event. She’s the 9th gymnast to do this, following Sloan, Kupets, Kelly, Maloney, Lichey, Stepp, Kenoyer, and Marlowe, and is the second after Lichey to have accomplished it solely in her freshman year. …

Oklahoma freshman gymnast Maggie Nichols completed the “GymSlam” Saturday night by getting a “Perfect 10” on the uneven bars in the Sooners’ meet against Michigan. …

It was Nichols’ fifth 10.0 this season, which ties her with Haley Scaman for the most perfect scores in an Oklahoma career. …

Air Force defeats Cal

The eighth-ranked Air Force men’s gymnastics team claimed the program’s first-ever victory over California on Saturday, March 4, as it downed the 10th-ranked Bears by a 403.900-395.750 margin during a triangular meet in Berkeley that included SC United (289.950). The Falcons’ victory snapped a 0-40 skid against their Mountain Pacific Sports Federation foes from California. …
