It was an incredible Final with very few falls for the 24 best gymnasts in the world.

It looked like David would take the title … but he fell surprisingly on an easier H Bar release last apparatus. So close.

The AA medalists will all have to hit 6/6 I predict, even Oleg. Competition is tight.

Ellie Black looking to the future

Ellie Black is a double Olympian.

5th in Rio.

She certainly could have retired with the best Olympic result AA for a Canadian.

But since she’s still improving her goal — so far — is to stay as long as possible.

Watch the CBC interview:

In a sport dominated by teenagers, 22-year-old Ellie Black, of Halifax, is beating all expectations — and still going strong ahead of Tokyo 2020.

Ellie is one of three gymnasts who qualified to 3 finals along with Elena Eremina & Mai Murakami.

Jade Carey the most powerful vaulter

She might have more amplitude than Simone on that Amanar.

In the final it will be obvious that Maria Paseka is not in the same league. Jade could legitimately compete against the guys.

Pauline Schaefer wins E-score on Beam

Schaefer had the only E-score above 8.0 in the qualifying round. It was 8.133.

I did think Pauline had the cleanest Beam routine. And this is cool.
