Kyle Shewfelt interview

The Skating Lesson continues their series of Gymnastics interviews with 2004 Olympic Gold Floor medalist Kyle Shewfelt. Clearly TSL are picking and choosing whom they want to speak with. 🙂

Kyle likes Gabby over Aly for the AA. He slightly prefers Maddie over Ashton on Bars.

John Orozco out, Danell Leyva in

Blast. 😦

John Orozco injured his left knee on a horizontal bar dismount during the men’s Olympic Team Training Camp.

Orozco has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and meniscus, which is the same injury to that knee that happened in October 2012. As a result, Orozco has withdrawn from the team. Danell Leyva will replace him.

John was being counted on for Pommels, P Bars and H Bar. Of the alternates, Danell’s the best fit as replacement.
