analyzing the hurdle
I haven’t found much consensus amongst top coaches. Many different kinds of hurdles result in successful vaults and tumbling lines.
When I was a young coach Boris Verkhovsky first told me that a switch leg hurdle should be slightly more powerful than a chassé. Indeed, most top gymnasts do switch legs during their hurdle.

Depending on routine readiness and the individual athlete’s goal, gymnasts were allowed to do modified routines at the verification.
Good idea.
