Rebeca Andrade – Floor

Brazil is bringing the house down in Rio.

She submitted a new tumbling elementdouble back with 1 1/2 twist (G) – but didn’t compete it. Yet.

It’s great to see Rebeca recover from her 2015 ACL injury on Vault to make it to the BIG show.

Update – She competed a terrific Amanar, as well.

Catalina Ponor – Floor

In her last competition prior to Rio.

Seems Romania did make the right pick choosing Cata over Larissa.

I mean the Biles.

London never competed it at a major FIG Championships so it was not named after her.

Lieke Wevers – Floor

I congratulation Lieke on putting together an international routine with only 2 tumbling passes. It shows that FIG rules do not force every competitor into doing near compulsory sets on Floor. πŸ™‚

Maggie Nichols – Floor

Maggie would be the BEST gymnast on almost every Olympic team in the world. But Team USA selectors could not rank her in the top 8 for Rio. 😦
