Chusovitina said the athletes were ecstatic over the extended sessions in podium training. Each rotation was about 27 minutes, much longer than the expected competition run time.
“Everybody was super, extremely happy about this!” she said. “However, we still have lots of issues to resolve for athletes safety. I have 12 different points that I want to present to the FIG in the future to make it even safer for every athlete.” …

Cairo World Cup 2020
I was last in Cairo December 2017, surprised at how quickly the sport has advanced for both WAG and MAG in that nation. Aside from the excellent National Training Centre, they have modern private clubs with great facilities.
As we heard much about during Worlds, one of the missions of IOC and FIG is to develop the sport worldwide.
Good move FIG.

Mihai finishes Australia in November
Gymnastics Australia and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Coach, Mihai Brestyan have mutually agreed to finish Brestyan’s contract in November after two-and-a-half years working together.
The decision was reached following the recent World Artistic Championships in Stuttgart, where Australia’s Women’s Artistic Team narrowly missed Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualification. …
Stuttgart a FANTASTIC host
540 gymnasts from 92 countries. This was the 3rd time Stuttgart has hosted Worlds.
The event was well promoted throughout the city and gymnasts appreciated the great crowds at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Hall.
Spieth equipment was excellent. I never heard one complaint.
Thanks to the volunteers, employees, partners and service providers for putting on such a terrific event.
