Gymnastics more competitive worldwide

It’s a good sign that more nations around the world are competitive at the highest levels.

I wonder how long Belarus and ROC / Russia will be out. Until Putin withdraws from Ukraine, I assume.

Vault – Yeo Seo-jeong

The first South Korean female gymnast to win an Olympic medal.

At the 2020 Olympic Games, Yeo performed her eponymous vault, which had the highest difficulty value in the final.

She finished with an average score of 14.733 and won the bronze medal behind Brazilian Rebeca Andrade and American MyKayla Skinner.

Daiane dos Santos has 330K followers even though the most famous portion of her career came in the 2001-2004 Olympic cycle. Hypolito has 478K, Flavia Saraiva has 1 million, and Rebeca Andrade has 2.2 million. …

With Russia out of World Championships 2022, you have to count Brazil amongst those nation that could end up on the team podium.

The Olympics for non-Olympic sport disciplines 😀 is ON.

Delayed since 2021.

Gymnastics events include Synchronised Trampoline, Tumbling, Double-mini Trampoline, Acrobatic Gymnastics, Aerobic Gymnastics and Rhythmic Gymnastics individual event finals.

And Parkour will be added for the first time.

A live stream of all Gymnastics and Parkour events will be available via the Olympic Channel on Olympics.com, the IOC’s sports content hub.

The Channel also shows replays once the Games have started.

An embedded player from the Olympic Channel will also be visible on the FIG event page.

Events will be shown live on this player, with geoblocking in effect in territories where television rights have been sold. …
