The top 17 teams this year scored high enough to make top 8 in 2022.
As expected, it was super tough to make top 12 at the qualifying Worlds.

It was heartbreaking that France did not qualify anyone to the Paris Olympics.
At worst, the FIG does allocate one spot for the host nation IF nobody has qualified from France in any other way.
Canada competed best of all teams for their first Olympic qualification since 2008. Germany was excellent, too.
Ukraine did not compete well, but everyone is happy they made Paris in the Olympics where Russia may be banned for invading their homeland.
It was a gutsy performance for Netherlands to qualify. And I’d say Turkey has earned the Olympics for their steady progress over recent years. It was a smart call to add young Emre Dodanli who is competing in NCAA for Oklahoma.

These fine gymnasts have booked a ticket to the Paris Olympics through their all-around performance in qualification.
ONE AUTOMATIC INDIVIDUAL FOR THE COUNTRY (in addition to any other qualified individuals): GERMANY, MEXICO, HUNGARY
Top 8 / apparatus. Maximum 2 / nation.
There are 9 on Bars as there was a tied tie for the final position.
Simone is in all 4 event Finals.
Congratulations. It was very competitive in 2023.
Germany was 13th. Mexico 14th. Hungary 15th.

Top 12 teams qualify to Paris.
Here’s where they stand with 30% of the competition complete.

Unlike the men’s competition where Canada finished 4th, WAG is much more predictable.
The U.S. score is about what Spencer predicted.
Italy and Netherlands are safe to qualify a full team.
Read Spencer’s LIVE blog. Though he’s got his feet up in California this year, it’s still one of the most insightful commentaries.
Day 1 was pretty much the Simone Biles show — with a supporting cast of other characters. Simone might qualify for all 6 Finals. Potentially adding to her 19 World titles and 25 medals overall from 2013 to 2019.
Shilese Jones and Jessica Gadirova were really fantastic, as well.
Korea had some terrific performances.
But personally I was most impressed with Panama. These ladies have some world class difficulty. Are they the most improved nation this quadrennial?
Here’s the official FIG write-up. I ASSuME these are the Canadian guys cheering the Biles 2 Vault. 😀
