For many years the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC) has been promoting the expansion of collegiate and adult gymnastics opportunities in the United States.
Our membership has grown to over 1750 members from more than 100 clubs.
Beyond the NCAA, there is a growing divide between the increasing demand for collegiate gymnastics, dwindling funding for gymnastics scholarships, and rising tuition. More than anyone else, it was Greg Marsden who make University of Utah’s women’s gymnastics team the model for every other program.
Like me, Dvora Meyers follows Greg on social media:
Though Marsden stopped coaching four years ago, he hasn’t completely disappeared from the sport. Shortly after his retirement, he resurfaced on Twitter and is, according to his bio, a “haggard, old, jaded, irrelevant, narcissistic, hypocritical NCAA gym fan & social media uninfluencer.”
