There are MANY stories to tell.
But for me the biggest surprise was Japan. This team with zero Worlds experience were fantastic. Up until their final routine on Bars.
For Worlds 2023 all eyes will be on Japan. These are going to be some of the top gymnasts in the world very, very soon.

MAG Team Qualifications in 1-minute
I spoke with Ollie and Blythe after the disastrous first 2 subdivisions.
We couldn’t recall a more awful, bad, surprising start to a meet for the top teams at Worlds.

Happily, the meet got much, much better in the next 4 subdivisions. In fact, statistically the number of HIT routines might not be that much lower than usual.
