WAG coaches needed in Nova Scotia

Cobequid Spartans Gymnastic & Trampoline Centre is currently seeking applicant to fill a full time WAG /Head coach position (approx. 35 hrs per week). In Truro, the hub of Nova scotia.

NCCP Level 3 or international equivalent. Applicant must be able to coach ALL events, be familiar with the Junior Olympic Program, have good communication skills. Applicants must also have basic first aid, Respect in Sport certification, police screening and criminal records check.

The club is also looking for NCCP 2 coaches offering 12-20 hours / week.

Great routine. But a good example of why the Russian tap over the low bar for dismount is a bad idea for most gymnasts.

Russell Mills – 1964 Pommels

This is the winning routine in the 1964 AAU Nationals (the precursor to the USGF and USA gymnastics). Mills also won the NCAA Championships in 1963 and 1964, coached by Don Tonry and . competing for Yale University. When Mills hit his routines, he was unbeatable in the US and probably by anyone in the world at that time. There was no international competition for specialists during the period. The mount here is a back Moore, caught a bit late by the camera.
