Just prior to the Final we learned CAN had submitted Triple Twisting Yurchenko for Shallon. The first I’d ever heard of her considering it. Excitement was short lived, however, as Shallon tried Amanar (over-rotate, under-twist).

Zach Clay 21st at Worlds

It’s been an amazing season for Zach culminating in a 6/6 performance in the finals of #MTL2017GYM in front of a home crowd.

Gymnastics Canada :

Clay had his best performance on the pommel horse with a score of 13.566 putting him in 9th position on that apparatus. …

“I was so happy with the result today. The crowd today especially was phenomenal. Every event – right before I presented, and right after the crowd was just going crazy and it was amazing.”

Clay finishes 21st in men’s all-around competition at 2017 World Championships; Xiao of China takes gold.

For the first time in history Pommels is Canada’s strongest apparatus for the Senior team.
