It sounds like Parkour founder David Belle is on board with the the new FIG discipline.
But the British Parkour body accuses FIG of encroachment.
Personally I’ve got no problem with more obstacle course competitions. They are cool.
But I’m worried our other disciplines will feel neglected: Acrobatic Gymnastics, Aerobic Gymnastics, Power Tumbling, Double-mini, etc.

I’m more concerned with the ongoing balkanization of FIG….once upon a time it was primarily focused on Artistic…..the more stuff FIG takes on, the more diffused the impact of the organization

The Acro community is NOT happy with this at all. Acro has been growing steadily and I understand that their isn’t enough involvement at the senior level yet but Age Group competitions have exploded over the last five years!
