Chad at African Championships

It was exciting to see Chad compete African Championships for the first time in 2024.

These young ladies have been supported by experts in Spain.

At the recent African Gymnastics Championships, the presence of the Chadian team was more than just a sporting event; it was an astonishing spectacle of overcoming and determination that left spectators from across the continent speechless.

Behind this phenomenon, is the tireless effort of a visionary group led by the Ramón Grosso Foundation, in close collaboration with Sylvia Garcia from the Artistic Gymnastics Club of Pozuelo, the commitment of the local religious Camille Manyenan and the support of the COE.

Georgia co-head coach Ryan Roberts

Ryan Roberts, who last Thursday was named co-head coach of the Georgia gymnastics team along with Cecile Canqueteau–Landi, might actually be the most interesting guy around. Roberts was a collegiate gymnast who saw both schools he attended shut down their men’s gymnastics programs. The day after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, he enlisted in the Marines.

After four years in the Corps, Roberts returned to school and earned a degree in psychology from UMass-Amherst, followed by a master’s degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He then dedicated himself to coaching, …
