Haleigh Bryant wins 2024 Honda

GymACT Nationals May 11th, Daytona Beach

GymACT (Gymnastics Association of College Teams) is organized to help create, grow and maintain collegiate Men’s gymnastics. Teams are unaffiliated with the NCAA and not funded by schools, yet striving to compete at the same level.

Open to all student-athletes without needing to abide by the NCAA eligibility standards.

There are 14 sponsored GymACT programs, including Arizona State, Georgia United, Iowa, KC United, Minnesota, Nor Cal, Northern Illinois University, NY Alliance, Rocky Mountain Pride, SC United, Temple, Texas Armadillos, UIC, and Washington.

National Championships 2024 will be hosted in Daytona Beach, Florida on May 11th.

Georgia co-head coach Ryan Roberts

Ryan Roberts, who last Thursday was named co-head coach of the Georgia gymnastics team along with Cecile Canqueteau–Landi, might actually be the most interesting guy around. Roberts was a collegiate gymnast who saw both schools he attended shut down their men’s gymnastics programs. The day after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, he enlisted in the Marines.

After four years in the Corps, Roberts returned to school and earned a degree in psychology from UMass-Amherst, followed by a master’s degree in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He then dedicated himself to coaching, …

Oleksii Koltakov and Marissa King have been named assistant coaches for Georgia gymnastics, co-head coaches Ryan Roberts and Cecile Canqueteau-Landi announced Friday.  …

Koltakov has spent the last two seasons as assistant coach at Nebraska, and previously worked with Roberts at Alabama. …

King, a 2008 Olympian for Great Britain in Beijing, has also spent the last two seasons at Nebraska, first as a volunteer assistant coach and then was promoted to assistant coach for the 2024 season.  One of the most decorated collegiate gymnasts, King competed for the University of Florida (2010-13). …
