Nicole Pechancova competed for the Czech team at the World Championships in Rotterdam. In ‘merica we know her as Nicole Pechanec from Stanford.
Recall she competed Free Hip Geinger, a ‘new‘ skill Stanford was calling the ‘Pechanec’.

Ellie Black does NOT have retirement scheduled
Despite this misleading headline, Ellie is not planning to quit after Tokyo.

Already a two-time Olympian and one of Canada’s best female gymnasts ever, it’s easy to wonder when she might be done.
And Black at just 23-years-old is used to facing questions about when she’ll hang up her grips.
“I don’t even know what I’m doing tomorrow, basically,” Black said with a laugh Saturday. …
“I always say age is just a number,” said Black.
That’s something the Nova Scotia-native proved as she’s continued to get better, year-after-year. …
“As long as I’m enjoying gymnastics and I’m loving what I’m doing, why not keep doing it?”

Canadian Trampoline Championships
Jon Schwaiger of Caledonia, ON repeated his double gold-medal performance from 2018, taking gold in both senior men’s tumbling and DMT for another year.
“The competition went pretty well for both,” said Schwaiger who captured his eighth-consecutive senior tumbling title this weekend. “I went four for four on both (apparatus) which is really all you can hope for, and I also set a new difficulty record on DMT on my first pass. Looking forward to Worlds, my plan is to just clean up some of my passes, and up the difficulty in the straight passes and just get them more confident and consistent.”
