On YouTube. It’s not supposed to be geo-blocked.
As expected, it was a thriller. Though 5 apparatus I still liked GBR to win. Russia was 1.0+ ahead, … but it was H Bar. That’s typically a good apparatus for Great Britain, Russia’s worst.
But Dom fell twice. Joe hit. And — shockingly — HALL James fell.
That was it. All Russia needed were their easy routines. They hit 3/3.
The arena was full. Full of fans cheering loud and proud for the home side.
I was hoping Turkey might hold it together to take an historic Bronze. But falls on their final 2 apparatus ended that dream. France did the job. Great meet today.
Within seconds of the start of the competition the first Italian gymnast took a zero on Vault. He slipped. Their team chances were over. It’s 3-up, 3-count. That’s something that could happen to China, Japan, USA … to anyone.

Many of the Juniors used that Felge to L-sit as a transition. No deduction for a skill in hang.

Men’s Jr European Champions 2018
As usual, the men’s competition was full of drama and surprise.
I was very surprise when — last rotation — GBR missed on H Bar, Russia HIT Rings to pull ahead.
I was very surprised when Italy — also on Rings last apparatus — hit to pull ahead of Switzerland. They took it with the last stick, last routine of the meet.
Congratulations to all the teams. It was an entertaining competition in the best Gymnastics venue in the world.
… after the second subdivision of three.
Like MAGNASTICS, I was convinced GBR had won the team competition … despite having a fairly disastrous final apparatus, H Bar.
After all, they’d won this meet: 2008/2010/2012/2014/2016.
And they looked fantastic, aside from H Bar.
Nope. Men’s Gymnastics is thrilling. And unpredictable.
Me: Russia won't average 13.666 to beat gb

After 2nd subdivision of three …
1. RUS
2. GBR
3. UKR
4. GER
5. BLR
6. HUN
7. ROU
8. NOR
There is no team final. Today decides TEAM and AA.
My guess is RUS and GBR will finish 1/2. But my MAG predictions are more often wrong, than correct.
One of the big disappointments of the qualification round was seeing Andreas miss the H Bar final … because of a missed Weiler. ☹️
