Fabian Hambuechen – Olympic Champion

Bursting onto the international scene in 2004 as the youngest German Olympic athlete, Hambuechen now owns 9 World and 11 European medals, plus titles at the 2015 European Games and the Universiade. Going into the final as top qualifier …

When Zonderland came off the high bar, Hambuechen’s biggest rival –and good friend took himself out of the medal race. And none of the other gymnast could match Hambuechen’s score. After 12 years at the top, he was finally the Olympic Champion!
