I applaud these women’s pollical activism and boldness to display black culture in their college routines. However, gracefulness and proper dance technique comes from good coaching and high expectations. Many coaches don’t think black gymnasts are able to do balletic routines, so they don’t teach good ballet and they use drum/ jungle or up temple music for women of colour.
