Nasser pleads guilty

I expect and hope Nassar will be in prison for the rest of his life.

He is expected to face at least 25 years in prison. I’m guessing there will be additional court cases in other jurisdictions adding to that sentence.

  1. Excellent point. Dvora Meyers wrote an article stating what many commentators are overlooking; this is more than egregious sexual assault of minors in the context of sport, the evil is compounded by the perpetrator being a doctor: https://deadspin.com/usa-gymnastics-larry-nassar-scandal-is-about-doctors-ab-1797127972 The high level of trust patients (whether minors or not) necessarily have in their doctors must be matched by an extremely high level of professional integrity and accountability by the individual doctor and the College of Physicians and Surgeons that regulates that doctor.
