backward handspring on Beam

The Half Round is perfect for athletes beginning to work back handsprings on the beam. It’s firm foam, wide base, and low position to the ground helps take away the fear for athletes and allows them to focus on correct form in a back handspring.

Artistic gymnasts are encouraged to move seamlessly from ever more challenging tumbling passes into choreographed sequences, which must be woven together through both stylized dance and music. An Artistic gymnast must express herself and interpret the music while performing her routine.
