I was a gymnast at Parkettes from age 5 until about 12-13 years old. I was just exhausted and couldnt take it anymore. There is plenty more to theses girls stories. They are only talking about 2011 and up. I was there in the 90’s. The stuff I have seen some of my teammates get pushed through and the stuff I’ve been through have affected me for the rest of my life emotionally, physically, and mentally. I have great memories and I miss my gym family but only if we were all treated equally and not as individuals. We were suppose to be a team and never got treated that way! Don’t get me wrong, discipline is needed to an extent in gymnastics due to the extreme risk factors a gymnast is taking while performing. But there needs to be a limit. When doctors start to overlook injuries just for a gymnast to compete is not safe or healthy. God Bless. I love Bill and Donna. John and Robin were always awesome and never out of place. STRICT yes they are strict but there are other coaches that could be named in place of them two definitely.
